Call Forwarding Setup
Call forwarding is how you control when Abbie answers your calls. When your phone is forwarded to Abbie’s number, she answers. When it’s not, calls ring directly to you or your team.
This page shows you how to set that up.
What You’ll Need
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- Your existing business phone (mobile or desk phone)
- Abbie’s phone number (provided during setup)
Forwarding Calls From an iPhone
These steps apply to most iPhones:
- Turn Call Forwarding ON
- Open Settings
- Tap Phone
- Tap Call Forwarding
- Turn Call Forwarding ON
- Enter Abbie’s phone number
Once enabled, all calls to your phone will forward to Abbie.
Turn Call Forwarding OFF
- Open Settings
- Tap Phone
- Tap Call Forwarding
- Turn Call Forwarding OFF
Calls will now ring directly to your phone again.
Forwarding After a Set Number of Rings (Carrier Codes)
Some carriers allow call forwarding after a few rings, instead of immediately. This is controlled by keypad codes.
Note: These codes work on most U.S. carriers, but behavior may vary slightly.
