Notifications & Alerts

Notifications alert you that you… or someone in your company needs to handle a call.

There are two ways you’ll be notified when Abbie handles a call or books an appointment:

  • Email notifications
  • Live dashboard alerts

Most clients use both.

  • Email Notifications (Phone Dings)
  • When Abbie captures a call or books an appointment, our system sends you an email notification.
  • If the Gmail app is installed on your phone and notifications are enabled, you’ll hear a ding when the email arrives.

When Email Notifications Are Best

Email notifications work well when:

  • You’re away from your desk
  • You’re driving or on the move
  • The dashboard is not open

Email alerts do not require you to be logged into the dashboard.

Live Dashboard Alerts (Cha-Ching)

Live dashboard alerts provide real-time notification, including a “cha-ching” (cash register) sound. These alerts are controlled by the red/green toggle button in the dashboard.

The Red/Green Button (Important)

The red/green button is a manual toggle.

The cha-ching doesn’t sound unless you toggle it from red to green.

Red = Alerts OFF

  • The dashboard may be open, but live alerts are disabled.
  • No cha-ching will sound.

Green = Alerts ON

  • Live alerts are armed.
  • When Abbie handles a call or books an appointment, you will hear the cha-ching.

The button must be green for live alerts to work.

What Must Be True for Cha-Ching to Happen

For the cha-ching sound to play, all three of the following must be true:

  • You are logged into the dashboard
  • The dashboard page is open in your browser
  • The alert button is toggled green

If any one of these is not true, the cha-ching will not sound.

Recommended Way to Use Live Alerts

Most users who want real-time alerts:

  • Log into the dashboard
  • Open it in Chrome on their phone
  • Toggle the alert button to green
  • Leave the page open during work hours

This arms the system for live notifications.

Using Both Notification Methods Together

Most clients use a simple combination:

Email notifications when the dashboard is closed
Live dashboard alerts when the dashboard is open and armed

Both types of notification work lndependently of each other. You can use either… or BOTH.

If You Don’t Hear the Cha-Ching

If you expected a live alert but didn’t hear it:

  • Confirm you are logged in
  • Make sure the dashboard page is open
  • Check that the button is green
  • Review Call Logs to confirm activity

Even if a live alert is missed, all calls and appointments are still logged.

You can always review activity later in the dashboard. (But Speed-To-Lead DEMANDS that you stay on top of this!)
